3:23 Is this the "God" that you want? Be your own God, control
your life. Life is not predetermined, god does not pick the
rightous. Realize that the world you live in is six billion
years old. It took two billion years for a single celled organism
to evolve into a multi-celled organism. Modern man is merely
10,000+ years of age, yet you prey to a god who formed man
in his own image. Why is it that he waited billions of years
to form man? If he is older than the Earth itself, why did't
he start with the human race. What, is he like some wizard
who had to gain strength with age? Six billion year is some
time to gain strength. Through evolution, man has adapted
to a social way of life. Much like our fellow animals, we
have an inborn need for a hierachy. We, in our minds, have
projected this image of a god for social evolution. The weak,
through large group affiliation, have overthrown those more
powerful and at the top of the hierarchy. Because of people
like you, we have less conflict. This conflict has been avoided
because we no longer strive to rule, because we have a false
god to do that. I wish you actually were "truth" seekers.
You know, it will set you free...

they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the
knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are AGAIN
ENTANGLED in them and OVERCOME, the latter end is WORSE for
them than the beginning. For it would have been better for
them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having
known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.
~ Note: The word "overcome" also means "to be conquered by
one, forced to yield to one." Here it means to be conquered
by and forced to yield to sin. Then that makes the person
a slave of sin again, as the previous verse, 2:19, implies.
The word "known" in "known the way of righteousness" also
means "know well, to become thoroughly acquainted with." This
is definitely about a former true Christian who was set free
from sin and then turned from God's commandment to be holy.
They will have a worse punishment in hell than if they never
got saved to begin with.
